New Master: Omer Ginor

We recently welcomed a new master, Omer Ginor! Read on to learn more about him.

Tell us about yourself
Over 15 years of CXO roles in scaling tech companies, I have developed a unique and deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges faced by startups. As CCO/COO, I oversaw TicketSwap’s revenue increasing by 150% in one year, expanding into new geographies, achieving a 650% growth in France, and implementing various growth-enabling commercial structures.

Having experienced growing companies from inception to seed, from seed to Series A, and onwards to growth stages, I brings strategy and structure to what is often a vague, confusing, and messy process. While focusing on the companies’ growth, I also gained ample experience in fundraising. Boosting and supporting scale means streamlining and often rethinking systems, structures, and methodologies… but without a high-functioning team, all those efforts don’t amount to much.

As an avid volleyball player, I often view and address performance in the context of the team’s dynamics. Startup success is a team sport.

Why did you want to join Masters of Scale?
Having positive impact on my environment and the world is what drives me. Making innovation successful has a huge benefit for such impact.

Why are you passionate about entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurs re-define what is possible. They innovate, reject the way things have been done and with a lot of energy and conviction push the envelope.

What is your expertise and what are you known for?
I worked in SaaS, Hardware, Marketplace, and e-commerce. I led in business services, analytics, Ag-Tech, renewable energy, publishing and the events industries. I oversaw commercial, operations, product and general management. Having this broad perspective helps me in recognizing patterns, learning quickly, bringing solutions from outside the normal ‘box’ and effectively navigating strategic and inner-company landscapes.

What was the most defining moment in your career, and what did you learn from it?

My first startup imploded due to lack of direction and leadership. It showed me the importance of execution and of mature guidance towards success.

Welcome to the team, Omer! Happy to have you on board.
