She leads transactions and advises in the area, including on protection and exploitation IP and use of open source technology. She established and sold legal practices in data technology various times. She was General Counsel with an ASX listed telecommunications company, responsible for roll-out of international infrastructure, joint ventures and share issues, as well as listing in the USA.

She received her Masters Degree in Corporate and Finance from Columbia Law School, New York USA on a full tuition waiver as the first female LL.M from Leiden University in a longstanding exchange arrangement. Sofie is admitted to practice in NL and AU and has an active network of legal experts to tap into for
our clients.

Sofie leads our clients through (PE) funding, restructuring, strategic growth opportunities, LBO’s and exits as well as them turning to impact oriented models.
She is keen to assist women entrepreneurs especially and sits in various bodies supporting use of and integration of female talent.

Sofie is founder of a readily accessible peer-to-peer online platform on secure branded open source technology for private online communities that yet has to flourish, going through much of the issues our clients are going through.
