New Master: Roel Nuyts

We are excited to welcome our new Master, Roel Nuyts! Learn more about him below.

Tell us about yourself
Despite studying physics and arts in Antwerp, I allowed my tech itch to surface and started as a developer. After following a standard career of becoming an IT consultant working on Education, automotive, and Energy projects, I strayed from the path. This deviation brought me to the Netherlands, where I helped the Dutch Tax Office introduce new projects and platforms as both program and product manager. In 2010, with the launch of the iPad, I once more pursued technology and innovation and started Aliens Are Among Us, a mobile application development company, 30 people strong at its height. Aliens produced a spinout called Team51, which catered to Dutch and international educational publishers. Eight years later, my interest in innovation drove me to Silicon Valley, where I worked as Senior Director of product innovation for Health2047. I am currently back in The Netherlands managing a family office’s small deep tech fund and am the head of product for a distributed computing scaleup.
