Do you need to be a unicorn to have an IPO? Not necessarily! The Nordic growth markets invite companies that can grow fast to IPO much earlier. A lot of companies have successfully listed there, some even pre-revenue. Sounds interesting? Then learn more in this café session with our Master Koen Bouwers and Thomas Marschall, who together help companies go public on the NASDAQ First North. 

Koen completed degrees in physics and law in parallel after which he worked at TNO, Philips and Apple. He worked at several startups in the USA, including L&H where he started a new division and grew the revenue in two years to a $60 million yearly run rate. In 2000, he got his MBA from MIT. He moved back to the Netherlands to be the CEO of Consul Risk management, a TU Delft spin-off, and raised €11 million. He has been CEO and interim-CEO of various companies, including a flying car spin off that was sold to Geely, the owner of Volvo. In between, he was a Venture Capitalist in Beijing China. Currently he runs CoT partners, a consultancy firm that helps small companies with strategy, growth, M&A, fundraising and going public on the NASDAQ First North.

Thomas served as CEO & President of Precise Biometrics AB from 2006 to 2013. Before Precise Biometrics, Thomas was the CEO of the software company Synkron A/S for 5 years. Before Synkron A/S, he was 12 years in the Danish Fortune Top 100 Shipping and Oil Company Maersk, where he was responsible for the start-up of horizontal drilling and environmental oilfield business units. Thomas Marschall is an active Business Angel with several investments in innovative IT and technology driven companies. He published his book Angel Business in 2018 and is a sought after keynote speaker on technology, disruption and investments. He holds a Marketing Degree from Henley and has participated in Executive programs at Stanford, NUS in Singapore and The Singularity University.
