Entrepreneur Julie Perkins will share her story and learnings from launching and scaling Specsavers, her family business, in the Netherlands and supporting its growth into Northern Europe for over 20 years and how it inspired her to start her current business Wyseminds. 

The Netherlands was the first country outside the UK that Specsavers expanded to in the 1990s. Since then, Specsavers has successfully grown in Australasia, Northern Europe, UK and Ireland and is moving rapidly into Canada. But the challenge of being the first into a highly saturated Dutch market and those initial start-up learnings still remain top of mind for Julie. 

She wanted to share this hard fought wisdom to support early stage female entrepreneurs with a more seamless growth path and this inspired her to create Wyseminds. Through Wyseminds, she supports business owners to take their own organisations to the next level, staying true to the original dream that set them on the business owner path, just with a new-found, clearer route towards their purpose.
