Ever wonder how someone makes the switch from founding a company in quantum photonics to founding a retail chain for lingerie and swimwear? Then join this café session to hear Floor van de Pavert’s inspiring entrepreneurial journey and how she is currently growing her company SuperBra.

Floor studied Experimental Physics at Utrecht University in The Netherlands. She worked as a strategic consultant at Andersson Elffers Felix and programme officer at FOM, the Dutch funding agency for physics research. She then co-founded and was CEO of Single Quantum, a company that develops and commercializes superconducting nanowire single photon detectors for the scientific market and for industrial applications. In 2016, she founded SuperBra and every once in a while still does some quantum and nano science consultancy, just for the fun of it!

SuperBra has a webshop and two physical shops in The Netherlands: one in Rotterdam and one in Utrecht. All shops have over 100 bra sizes in stock and their specialty is finding your perfect fit. SuperBra’s mission is to increase women’s self esteem with well-fitting lingerie and swimwear. SuperBra’s core values are expertise, quality, affordability, diversity and body positivity.
